The Music Projects
This is where the different creative paths of Zéèk come together. From music projects and collaborations to bands,
recordings, and visual work, each project represents a different chapter of an ongoing artistic journey.

ZTF - Zeekthefreak
Alternative indie music with thought-provoking lyrics and Zéèk’s distinctive deep voice.

Zéèk (solo)
The acoustic & relaxed side of Zéèk — stripped back melodies, intimate performances, and pure songwriting.

Lunar Echo Chamber
An experimental electronic project exploring sound,
atmosphere, and sonic landscapes.

The Infamous Zéèk & Giz
A comedy-music duo formed in 1978 — a long-running
collaboration filled with satire, humour, & musical mischief.
Other Creative Projects
Not everything Zéèk creates fits neatly into a musical category. Over the years his imagination has wandered into strange, humorous, and occasionally absurd territory — producing projects that sit somewhere between satire, storytelling, and playful creativity.
While music sits at the heart of Zéèk’s work, his creativity reaches far beyond it. Alongside his musical projects, he is also a writer and storyteller, creator of the wonderfully absurd tabloid The Fool’s Funnybone, author of humorous novels including The Foddleburg Tales, and the mind behind Mr Smith’s Garden, a charming strip cartoon for very young children. Zéèk’s creative journey has also led him onto the stage from an early age, appearing as one of the children in a production of Mary Poppins, and later performing multiple times in the traditional parade held every 8th of October in Alkmaar. He has appeared on screen as an extra in several major Dutch film productions, and has taken part in theatrical and festival performances, including singing as Dracula and acting as SM dungeon master at the Full Moon Festival (twice), and twice serving as compere at the metal music festival Wootrock.
In 1999, Zéèk created The Feelgood Festival, a charity event designed to raise money to buy instruments for the children’s department of the local hospital and support the special needs unit for children with psychological challenges. Although he was personally involved for only four years, the festival continued successfully for another 20 years, leaving a lasting positive impact on the community.
Alongside these projects, Zéèk also explores “F’Art” — his own brand of alternative abstract art. Created as a way to clear his head and let ideas flow freely, these spontaneous works offer another outlet for creativity, where colour, form, and imagination take over without rules.
Together with his music, these different creative outlets form a wider artistic landscape — a space where humour, storytelling, performance, philanthropy, and sound all meet.

The Fools Funnybone
Probably the silliest tabloid you will ever encounter. The Fool’s Funnybone is packed with wonderfully ridiculous “real fake” stories and surreal humour inspired by the spirit of Spike Milligan, The Goons, and Monty Python.

The Foddleburg Tales
Zéèk’s return to the world of fiction. This series of humorous novels explores the strange and eccentric town of Foddleburg, beginning with the first book The Pantry Thief of Foddleburg, arriving in 2027.

Mr Smith's Garden
A whimsical strip cartoon created for very young children. Mr Smith’s Garden combines playful storytelling with charming illustrations, introducing the youngest audiences to the imaginative world of Zéèk.
